During the summer I noticed my brows were looking a little patchy and my eyelashes felt parched. While it's a tiny problem, even the best mascara struggles with lashes that are brittle and the most deft hand with an eyebrow pencil can't quite replicate a naturally full brow. However I wasn't quite ready to turn to the lash serums that are invariably expensive and packed with bizarre sounding ingredients.

While I'm pretty serious about skincare, I've never found spas or facials to be a particularly relaxing experience. A bit like organised fun, organised relaxation doesn't seem to work too well for me either – not least because the current trend seems to be for exhaustive and perplexing treatment menus. However I was promised Suti's Core Facial would do both my skin and mind a world of good.

Whilst I've not been totally disciplined in cleaning up the ingredients of my beauty stash, I've made a good start by switching a few of my usual products to organic brands. Often a sign they're free from preservatives and artificial fragrances, opting for organic is the lazy girl's way of dodging questionable additives. What's more, many organic products are now just as effective as their conventional counterparts – and they've been dominating my bathroom cabinet.
