If you follow me on social (twitter, instagram and snapchat) you may have seen that I recently attended a fabulous event with my fave online shop for all things beauty, Beauty Bay. Having been a huge fan of Beauty Bay for years and continuously buying products from their site, I was so excited to be invited along to the launch of their new campaign, Queen BB. The new campaign is all about pushing your boundaries, being experimental with makeup looks and to basically unleash your inner Queen. I think this is such a great message for them to be spreading - I'm all about girl power, expressing yourself and lifting others up so for a brand to be spreading the message that we shouldn't be afraid to be ourselves, is amazing!

The event was hosted at a cute venue in Manchester city centre and the night included lots of prossecco and gin's (my current fave - definitely a gin queen!), a makeup pick and mix stand which felt like all my christmasses had come at once and the opportunity to get our makeup done with some amazingly talented makeup artists. I went straight from work so already had makeup on when I arrived but they touched it up and it looked so flawless - I honestly don't know how they do it. I also watched a few other girls getting their makeup done and the word SLAY was very relevant, let me tell you. Everyone looked incredible! I managed to pick up some new beauty goodies form the pick n mix stand too including brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Jeffrey Star, Makeup Geek, Ofra, and LA Pro. That's one of the reasons I love Beauty Bay so much - they stock a huge variety of brands and whenever I'm in need of a specific item, it's the first place I turn as chances are, they'll have it.

There was lots of Beauty Bay's brands and products on display around the event as well as five huge images of different makeup looks up on the wall -  all of which are looks from the new Queen BB campaign that the makeup artists were recreating. Each look has a different name - Queen B, Frankie, Riley, Alyx and Drew. Each of the looks has a different tag line such as 'embrace your wild side' or 'go bold and bright' which is a really fun idea as there's different styles to suit different personalities.

We were also shown the brand new Beauty Bay TV advert at the event which is something the brand are super excited about - if you haven't already seen it on your TV, make sure you keep an eye out for it as it's a cool ad that showcases lots of queens with sassy hair and makeup strutting their stuff and throwing makeup around - basically its pretty bad ass. It's definitely an ad that leaves you feel empowered after you've watched it. If you haven't been lucky enough to catch it on your screens yet, you can watch it here on the Beauty Bay website and also see how to recreate each of the looks from the advert.

After lots of delicious food and drinks (check out that drinks menu - each named after the makeup looks in the campaign) the end of the evening we were handed a goodie bag which is always very exciting and this one was particularly amazing as I spotted some of  my favourite brands in there. As you can see from the photos, I was well and truly spoilt as there's sooo many brands I love in there. The Morphe eyeshadow palette (get it here) as the neutral tones are right up my street and they're insanely pigmented too. It's basically just the perfect palette for both day and night as there's a good mix of shimmer and matte shades in there. I got some of the Morphe eyelashes too which I'm intrigued to try as i've heard good things. I'm obsessing over these Cover FX custom enhancing drops - absolutely amazing for mixing with foundation to make the skin blowy! Another Cover FX item I received and am already in love with is this brush - honestly guys, it's the softest thing ever and is going to be a dream for applying liquid foundation and the cover drops I mentioned above.

I picked up a Milani blush at the pick n mix stall and so I'm so excited I finally have one in the most perfect peachy bronze shade - I just know it's going to look divine with tanned glowy skin! The goodie bag had lots of other amazing items too like the Laura Geller Lash Boss mascara and a lovely golden bronze Makeup Geek eyeshadow - another of my fave eyeshadow brands! I also picked up a Jeffrey Star liquid lipstick, Ofra liquid lipstick, LA Splash eyeliner, Doll Light highlighter and Makeup Geek pigment from the pick n mix stand. Yep, safe to say, I took the opportunity to stock up! I'm so excited to try all of these products, they're all from brands I haven't really tried before so it's very exciting to get the chance to discover some new faves! All of the products are of course available to buy here from Beauty Bay.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and hearing about Beauty Bay's new campaign as well as having a look at some of their fab products! It's now time for me to go and paint my face with them all - I'm sure you'll see them in a Monthly Favourites post soon.

Make sure you check out the ad and if you recreate any of the looks, be sure to tag @beautybaycom with the hashtag #QueenBB on social.

Last week I was invited to spend 30 hours in London with one of my favourite skincare and beauty brands, Clarins. Clarins was actually one of the first brands I ever used and I love so many of their products so I was over the moon to be invited to their fabulous event to celebrate the launch of their re-invented multi-active moisturisers and their new Summer collection.

I headed down to London on Thursday afternoon and had a car waiting for me at Euston to take me to the Mondrian hotel where myself and lots of other bloggers were staying for the event. I was checked in by the lovely Clarins PR girls and given my room key. My room was absolutely beautiful - it had a huge double bed, flat screen TV on the wall, amazing views of London and the best shower ever. Seriously, I need a huge waterfall shower at home - they're the best! There was also a little goodie bag full of Clarins minis for me waiting on the bed. I thought that was a lovely touch and I always love having mini products for travelling.

After settling into the room, I got ready to meet the other bloggers (including my fave gal Em) before heading to Sketch for dinner. I've only ever been to Sketch once for afternoon tea but have always wanted to eat in the 'pink room' so when we arrived and realised Clarins had booked out the WHOLE room, we were pretty blown away. It was decorated with beautiful flowers and the Pink champagne was well and truly flowing from the moment we stepped into the room.

We had the best night eating yummy food and it was so nice to see so many of my favourite bloggers all in one room. Claris had even invited international bloggers who had flown from all over the world to be there which was pretty amazing! The evening was so relaxed which I really loved - we all chatted the night away eating yummy food and sipping champagne - perfect! When I got back to the room, the Clarins night time multi-active was waiting for me ready to use before bed. It's such a gorgeous thick cream and smells amazing - it sunk into my skin straight away and make my skin look really glow. On first impressions, I love it!!

After a great nights sleep in the Mondrian's super comfy beds, we had a fairly early start to head to the Shard to do yoga - how cool is that? I have to say, after a few too many champagnes the night before, I did have a bit of a sore head but having Clarins new morning multi active delivered to my room at 7:30 soon perked me up and the yoga session definitely had me feeling more awake. Damn, some of those poses burn!! Unfortunately it wasn't the best weather in London so the views weren't as great as we'd hoped but it was still amazing regardless. I'd never been up the Shard before so at least I can tick that one off my list now. We then headed back to our rooms to order some room service (I went for the vegetarian full english and it was yummy!) before heading to the rooftop to hear more about the new multi active products. You can read all about them here and I'll be sure to do a full review when I've used them for a bit long but so far, I'm in love!!

After the talk, we headed back to our rooms, packed up our things and met in the lobby to check out. I was so sad to be leaving such a beautiful hotel and I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to stay in London. After checking out we jumper in taxis (which were personalised with Clarins logos by the way - talk about attention to detail!) to Bourne & Hollingworth, the prettiest little restaurant. We were treated to nibbles and some of Clarins new high Summer collection was a laid out for us to look at. Everything is so beautiful and I can't wait until they're released - especially those summery Instant Light Lip Perfectors. I love those things!

I had the best 30 hours in London with Clarins and can't thank them enough for hosting such a fabulous event!

Will you be trying their multi active creams?!

I recently headed down to London for a few fun filled days with my friend Em so I thought I'd give you a brief overview of what we got up to! I can't fit everything in the one post but here's the most exciting things we got up to.

On the first day of our trip, I arrived in London at lunch time and jumped on the tube to Knightsbridge to visit Tracie Giles salon. If you haven't heard of Tracie Giles, she specialises in semi-permanent makeup and is a go-to for many celebrities! I went to get my eyebrows tattooed (not as scary as it sounds - promise) and am returning next week for the final stage of the treatment. I won't say much more as I'll be doing a full blog post about this so keep your eyes peeled for that!

After my brow appointment, I went to meet Em at our apartment which was situated 5 minutes from Covent Garden. We booked it through City Marque apartments and it was such a bargain - I'd definitely book there again for trips to London. That evening, Em and I headed to the gorgeous Rosewood hotel for the Lipsy X Michelle Keegan event. Michelle has just launched her new A/W collection and as a big fan, I couldn't wait to meet her and have a look at her new range. The venue was absolutely stunning - there was beautiful flower displays scattered around the room and the prosecco and canapés were constantly flowing. A bloggers dream. Michelle's new collection is gorgeous and perfect for the upcoming party season.

Unfortunately I only managed to get a photo of one dress as the room was dark and my camera just wasn't having it but you can check out her lovely new range online here - there's a few bits I definitely need to get my hands on. I also have to say how stunningly beautiful Michelle is and such a lovely down to earth girl as well - is she even real? I must admit, I was fan girling hard! Overall we have a great night and it was lovely catching up with fellow bloggers Hayleigh and Danielle too - love those girls! After the event, we headed to get some dinner at Pizza Express - a fave of ours. We couldn't really decide what we wanted so we just went all out and ordered a huge selection of different things - pizza, dough balls, salad, olives - you name it, we probably had it. All washed down with a nice glass of wine!

The following day we got up early and headed for a breakfast meeting at Balthazaar with the lovely ladies from Bare Minerals. We had girly chats over tea and avocado on toast and discussed all the new and exciting Bare Minerals products launching very soon. Their Christmas gifts are amazing so keep your eye out for those coming to the blog very soon!

After our meeting with bare minerals, we went for a stroll around Covent Garden and stocked up on essential sweet treats - Goddiva chocolate strawberries and Laudree macaroons. Yum! We then went and shot some outfit photos on the pretty London streets which again, I'll be blogging very soon. After a busy day, we grabbed some food then jumped in an Uber to the Illamasqua store on Beak street to get our makeup done for the Gleam Halloween As Darkness Falls party. We decided to go as skeletons so we had an idea in mind about how we wanted our makeup but figured we'd leave it to the experts and let Illamasqua, who are famous for their amazing theatrical makeup, work their magic.

It was lovely to have a girly makeover together and the makeup artists were so lovely and crazy talented. They did everything we asked for and we were both so happy with the results. We went for dark eyes, bold brows, lots of contouring, black lips and a bit of glitter for good measure! If you need your makeup doing, Illamasqua is the place to go - their products are amazing!! We then changed into our cute little Ebay skeleton dresses and headed to the Gleam party. It was an amazing event and it was so lovely to see so many familiar faces! If you want to see my outfit, head over to my Instagram @kayleighjcouture!

All in all, I had the best couple of days in London and can't wait for my next trip! Hope you enjoyed seeing what I got up to!

So z.B.

Einfach-Ina, Sandyliciousmissxtravaganz, RauschgiftengelPureGlam, I need SunshineFräulein Ungeschminkt, Shias Welt, Beautymango, Madame Keke, Tensia, Glam&Shine, Marie Theres Schindler, Lavie Deboite, Die Edelfabrik, Hydrogenperoxid

Last Thursday afternoon, Em and I jumped on a train to London to head to the Fleur De Force beauty launch party. I was really excited for the event as I've been a huge fan of Fleur's for years now - she was actually one of the first beauty vloggers I ever watched on Youtube and I still enjoying sitting down to watch her videos to this day. I also feel like I don't make enough effort to attend events I'm invited to and that's something I want to change - because I'm based in the North and most events are down South, the travelling often puts me off going but I'm going to make a conscious effort to not let this stop me as I'm sure I'm missing out!!

Em and I arrived in London at 5:30 ready for the event to begin at 6 which was being held at The Haymarket Hotel. When we arrived we were told to head down to the basement where the event was being held and when I saw the room, I was totally blown away. Beautiful is an understatement - I mean, there was even a swimming pool. The decor was stunning - there was pretty flowers, floating candles in that amazing pool (which I really wanted to take a dip in) and cute little extras like a candy floss stand and photo booth to keep us all entertained. Not to mention the most amazing canapés and cocktails - the mini burgers were a personal fave, yum!

I spotted lots of familiar faces in the crowd which was lovely - it's so nice to be surrounded by people who have the same interests and passions that I do.  I spent most of the night chatting to fellow bloggers, taking photos of the beautiful venue and most importantly, looking through Fleur's beautiful collection of products. I also got the chance to chat with Fleur about the collection and she was saying how a years work has gone into making these products and that she's had a say on every aspect of it to make sure they're exactly how she wants them to be. I thought that was really lovely and important for me to share as I know some people might just presume Youtube stars simply put their name to something without having any input.

Fleur's line of products now includes her 'Glam Guide' book, false eyelashes, two eyeshadow palettes, six lip glosses, a cosmetic bag and a compact mirror. Thursday was the celebrate the launch of the new additions to the range - the quad eyeshadow palettes and the lip glosses and I can confirm that they're really great products. I'll be sure to review them in full when I've given them more of a try. I also love the lashes which launched a couple of weeks ago and I was actually wearing the 'Fleur and Fabulous' set to the event. You can get all of the products online now from Feel Unique and they're all really purse friendly.

I left the event with a lovely goodie bag which included some of the new products and I then headed back to Euston to get my train back to Manchester. All in all it was a lovely evening and I'm so happy to see a vlogger doing such exciting things! I wish Fleur all the best and can't wait to see what she does next.

Will you be giving Fleur's new products a try?!
