Hey guys! I want to start this post with a big apology for my lack of posts recently. I've had a serious case of writer's block (it happens to us all) and have been SO busy getting organised to move into my very first house next week which I'm sure you'll know if you follow my snapchat (@kayljcouture). My days have consisted of boxing up my whole life, having major clear outs and looking at homeware online. I can't wait to get in there now - keep your eyes peeled for some homeware hauls and interior posts coming very soon!

Anyway, back to the point of this post. I recently met up with my lovely friend and fellow blogger Lucy (@lradwell) in London to shoot some outfits and also head to the Lipsy X Michelle Keegan launch party which was AMAZING by the way. Anyway, I wanted to share one of the outfits we shot on the day as I'm really happy with how these images turned out. I've finally cracked shooting on manual with my Canon 600D and it's crazy the difference it actually makes. I love that I can now adjust the lighting etc to get the style of photo I want, rather that hoping for the best.

I recently featured this suede lace up skirt from Miss Pap in a blog post (see post here) and since then I've gone on to get it in another two colours, the latest being this lovely pale grey one! Yep, the obsession is real. I just love how easy it is to wear and that it can be dressed up or down, not to mention it is ridiculously comfortable thanks to the soft faux suede fabric. Style and comfort in one? Yes please!

As the skirt has the lovely lace up detailing down the front, I decided to keep the rest of the outfit fairly simple with an old high neck black cropped top (similar online here) and some black ankle boots which are also from Miss Pap. I love the style of these boots as they look great with skirts or skinny jeans (I believe they're 'sock' boots - correct me if I'm wrong) and I know I'll get loads of wear out of them.

To finish the look, I wore my new favourite shades (get them here) and a cute little Missguided bag with chain detail that reminds me of the Stella McCartney design. Who doesn't love a cheap designer alternative?!

I hope you like this look and I promise I'll be back with more posts as soon as I'm all settled in my new house and everything has calmed down a little.

Hi guys! Just a quick post from me today showing you an outfit I wore recently. I've been so busy working away on content behind the scenes that I haven't actually had much chance to update my blog as regularly as I'd like to. Last week was one of the busy weeks in a long time and I just didm't have a minute to sit down and write. However, it was busy for good reasons - I did a shoot with Quiz clothing which was super fun and have been working away on various campaigns that I'll be sharing with you all very soon!

Anyway, back to this outfit. I'm obsessed with all things suede at the moment so when I spotted this suede skirt with lace up detailing on the Miss Pap website, it had to be mine. It comes in a few different colours so it was a struggle deciding which one to get but I figured black would go with everything and also see me through the A/W season paired with tights and boots. However, I have since got the nude version (follow my Instagram @kayleighjcouture to see that one) and may even have to get the Khaki one too. It's seriously one of the comfiest pieces of clothing I own and also one of those that can be dressed up or down so I just know I'll get so much wear out of it. The only thing I will say is that I found I did find it slightly too big on my waist despite it being my usual size small so I'd definitely advise going a size down if you buy it - I got the extra small in the nude version and it fits perfectly. Don't forget you can get 10% off Miss Pap when you use my code KAYLEIGHJ10 at the checkout which makes this skirt only £18.00, such a bargain.

I paired the skirt with my new Missguided tie back crop top and again, I'm obsessed with this piece. I actually bought this to go with a pair of trousers I'm planning to wear on my holiday to Mallorca next month but it also goes perfectly with this skirt - I love pairing black and white items together. I think this will be so perfect on holiday as it's really lightweight and will amazing with a tan. I also love the tie back detailing - it almost feels like I'm wearing a bikini, it's so comfortable!!

To finish the look, I wore my fave Missguided strappy sandals, my new rose gold 'Vivienne' Quay sunglasses from White Fox Boutique and of course, my beloved Chloe Faye bag. I love that this bag goes with so many of my outfits - it's such a perfect neutral colour!

Are you a fan of this look?! I promise I'll be back with lots of posts soon - bare with me!!

Hey guys! I hope you're all well. Apologies for my lack of posts over the last week. I've had the post hectic week of my life and spent Thursday-Monday partying in Ibiza for my friends hen do. I had the best time ever but am definitely paying for it now as I write this post from my bed feeling just a little bit worse for wear. Oh well, all the fun we had was worth it. You can see pictures of what we got up to over on my Instagram @kayleighjcouture if you're interested.

Anyway, today I'm back with another style post and this time I want to show you guys one of my current favourite outfits. I've been absolutely obsessed with denim midi skirts recently as I think they're so flattering, easy to wear and perfect for those Summer days when you want to get your legs out but don't want too much skin on show. I do freelance work in Liverpool twice a week and midi skirts are my go-to when I want to wear something appropriate for the warm weather but still look professional. The skirt I'm wearing in this post is from ASOS and I'm so in love with it. It's the perfect fit, goes with so many different style tops and is also really comfortable.

I decided to pair it with my new New Look bodysuit in these photos as again, bodysuits are something I'm loving at the moment. I love the striped print of this one and the pastel pink with grey and black in one of my favourite colour combinations. It also has a slight hint of glitter through the fabric which is nice and means it could be dressed up for an evening out with a leather skirt or fitted trousers.

Accessories wise, I worse my new Public Desire heels which I'm totally in love with. They're the kind of shoes that will go with so many different looks - I love all the straps and buckles, they have a really edgy feel to them but they're also still really chic and sophisticated too! I also wore my favourite Miss Pap choker necklace as chokers are another item I just can't get enough of at the moment - anyone else obsessed?! Finally, I wore my rose gold Noughts & Kisses sunglasses which have been my go-to pair of sunnies so far this Summer. I wore them the whole time I was in Ibiza!!

I hope you guys like this look - are you a fan of midi skirts and bodysuits too?!

Hi guys! I hope you're all well and had a lovely weekend. Today I want to share some exciting news with you all as I've partnered up with online retailer Look Again and over the next few months I'll be showcasing some of my favourite looks from their new A/W collections here on my blog and social media. It's always really exciting when I get the opportunity to work alongside a brand I really love so I'm super excited to get going and show you all some of my fave pieces.

If you've not heard of Look Again before (I'll be honest, I hadn't until they contacted me) then you're missing out as they're a fabulous online retailer who sell almost everything you could think of - womenswear, menswear, electronics, fragrance, makeup, gifts, etc, etc - the list could go on. They're also home to a whole range of amazing brands including  Oli, beautiful LASCANA lingerie, Melrose, John Devin and Laura Scott, all of which are exclusive to the Look Again website. They also stock some more well known brands including Lipsy, Agent Provocateur and Converse just to name a few. Seriously, you'll be stuck for choice when you have a browse and with over 200 styles being added every week, there's always something new to add to your basket. I'd class it as a website that's a 'one stop shop' as they stock everything from lingerie to dresses, sports wear, footwear and accessories so no matter what it is you're looking for, you're likely to find it on Look Again.

They recently had their press day in London that showcased the new collections from their exclusive brands AJC and Melrose so I wanted to share a few images of the pieces so you can get a feel for the brand and a look at what's to come over the Autumn/Winter season before I start styling them up in some outfit posts. Both brands are really affordable and as you can see from the images, there's some really cute bits and bobs. I can't wait to get my hands on some of them and put some outfits together to share with you all. I especially love the khaki bomber jacket and all the loose fit/casual pieces from the AJC collection - they're very fitting with my style. They're the sort of pieces that you can throw on and be comfortable in and also look stylish at the same time so I can see myself getting loads of wear out of them and the colour palette is spot on for the A/W season with a mix of khaki, mustard and burgundy tones.

The Melrose collection is a lot more glam than AJC - think bodycon dresses, embellishment and lace detailing - perfect for those of you who like to get a bit more glam on a day to day basis and of course, great for evenings out and special occasions. I have to be honest, the AJC collection is definitely more me but there's still a few pieces I'm loving from Melrose and can't wait to style up. I love the more smart pieces which I think would be perfect for those occasions when I have an important meeting and want to look well presented. Also great for you business women and people who have to attend lots of meetings in their day to day jobs. My fave piece are these leather trousers as I've always wanted to style a pair of them - they look so chic paired with a simple court shoe and a blouse tucked in.

So there we have a brief overview of the latest Look Again collections and my exciting news that I'm partnering with them for the next few months so expect to see a lot more of them here on my blog!

I was in London last weekend for British Summertime Festival (which was great by the way - who knew Kendrick Lamar had such an array of catchy tunes!) and the following day, my boyfriend and I decided to make the most of being in the capital and decided a shopping spree and lunch date was in order. We were staying at the London Edition hotel which is right next to Oxford Circus so as you can imagine, there was a whole host of fabulous shops on our doorstep!

While we were roaming the streets around Oxford Road, we came across these super pretty and very blogger-esque marble steps so obviously I had to stop and get some snaps of my outfit. Much to my boyfriends dismay - who else’s boyfriend hates being a photographer on days out?! Haha! I thought I’d share what I wore for the day with you guys as I really loved the outfit and it was so comfortable to wear for a day shopping too.

When it comes to day to day fashion, I’m not one for wearing a lot of bright colours. Don’t get me wrong, I love the odd statement pieces here and there with a bold print or a vivid colour but more often than not, the colours I’m drawn to are black, white, grey or neutrals. I love neutral colour palettes for a number of reasons but particularly because they look classy, chic and can be accessorised with virtually any other colour!

I decided to go for a monochrome look for my day shopping as I recently got this bardot striped blouse from Miss Pap and it's quickly become one of my favourite tops to wear on a day to day basis as it looks great with jeans or tucked into a skirt. I decided to pair it with my new white denim skirt as the weather was fairly nice and I hate walking around in tight jeans when it's warm - yuck! One of my favourite items of clothing to wear are high waisted skirts so as soon as I saw this one on Missguided's website, I just had to have it. I love that it will go with so many different tops - it will definitely be one of my most worn Summer items.

To finish the look, I wore my trusty Carvela lace up heels which I got last Summer and have worn almost non-stop since I bought them. They're seriously comfortable! I also wore my trusty Rayban aviator sunglasses and my new little ASOS choker necklace ! Finally, I took my trusty Zara city office bag out for the day which is my favourite bag to take when I travel anywhere as it fits loads in and has a compartment for my laptop too!!

Are you a fan of the monochrome look?!
