One of my favourite things about Winter is getting to layer up and wear cosy coats. I always buy at least one new coat every year and usually, they're a neutral colour like black, grey or camel. However, I decided to branch out a little bit this year and add a bit of colour to my Winter coat selection. As soon as I spotted this mauve tailored coat on the Missguided website, I knew it had to be mine. I actually already own it in nude but I fell in love with this colour and thought it would be a nice statement piece to add to my wardrobe.

Since it arrived a couple of weeks ago, it's been my go to coat and it actually goes with way more than I was expecting. I thought it would be one of those pieces I'd only get chance to wear now and again but the pastel colour is pretty versatile and goes with loads of items in my wardrobe. I especially like it paired with grey - the colours compliment each other really well. I decided to pair it with this cute grey roll neck dress for this shoot, which is also a recent addition from Missguided - yes, I like their website a lot. I love the detailing around the bottom of the dress - I'm a big fan of the whole lace-up detailing trend and this is a nice take on that and subtle enough to wear casually on a day to day basis or dress up for an evening out.

Another reason I love this coat is because of the tailored and structured style - it's one of those pieces I instantly feel smart and sophisticated in. I've even worn it with a simple jumped read jeans and it instantly transforms a basic casual outfit into a classy and well thought out outfit, even if I literally just threw it on without much thought. What's even better is that it actually keeps me warm as well as looking good so what's not to love about it?! I know it's going to be warn all Winter long.

To finish the look, I popped on my current favourite black ankle boots from Public Desire which are so comfortable and go with absolutely everything - such a must have! I also wore my Desi Perkins Quay sunglasses because you know, sunglasses just make every outfit look cooler, right?!

If you like this coat, you can grab it here with a whopping 50% off which makes it only £30.00 - such a bargain and so worth the money so grab one before they sell out!!

Are you a fan of a statement coat?!

When it gets to this time of year and the temperature outside has significantly dropped, a new coat is always at the top of my shopping list. I think I'm quite fussy when it comes to coats as I'm not into anything too OTT - faux fur, patterns and even bold colours are not my thing when it comes to a coat as I prefer something simple and classic that will go with the majority of outfits I choose to wear. Basically, it needs to be something I can wear all the time and not just on special occasions or with a certain outfit.

That's where the classic Camel coat comes into play. I don't know about you but there's something I love so much about Camel coats - I think they look so chic, classy and add an instant air of sophistication to any outfit. With this being said, I was thrilled when I happened to stumble upon this one from Missguided - my go-to website for virtually everything as they always have such a great range of on-trend pieces. As soon as I set eyes on it, I instantly fell in love and added it to my basket. The next day, it was here with me, just as lovely in the flesh as I'd hoped it would be.

It's a tailored style that's designed to be worn open and comes just above the knee which I personally think is the perfect length. Anything longer and I feel like I'm wearing a dressy gown! I decided to go up a size to make sure it would fit over all my chunky Winter knits and as you can see from these photos, it's a perfect fit and looks great layered over knitwear. It isn't the thickest coat of all time so I probably won't be wearing it when the weather gets into the minus territory but for right now, it's absolutely perfect! I know I'll get wear out of this right up until next Spring as it's smart and can be worn both day and night.

The jumper and skirt I've paired with the jacket here are also Missguided and you can find them here and here. I love the jumper so much - it's a cropped oversized style so it's really comfortable, flattering and the cream colour works perfectly with the Camel coat. I find jumpers like this work really well paired with high waisted skirts or jeans so I've paired it with this cute Khaki denim skirt here which is one of those items that I know I'm going to wear loads as it'll go with so many items in my wardrobe. I'm already picturing it with a black roll neck top and black knee highs - the options are endless, it's a staple!

Finally, to accessorise, I wore my new tan boots from Shuzee and I've had SO many compliments over on my Instagram (follow me here for daily outfit posts) about these. Again, I can tell I'm going to get a lot of wear out of these as they're a style and colour that go with virtually anything and they're a perfect match with this coat. I also wore my new Quay x Desi Perkins High Key sunnies and my beloved Chloe Faye handbag which is the perfect neutral colour to wear with this outfit.

Are you a fan of Camel coats? What are your Winter wardrobe must-haves? Leave me some suggestions below as I'm always wanting to add more pieces to my collection!

I have to say, Autumn is definitely my favourite time of year and one of the reasons why is because I love Autumn fashion choices way more than Summer. Oversized chunky knits, ankle boots and cosy coats are just a few of the pieces I love to wear when the colder weather comes along and I'm always really excited to add new piecesto my A/W wardrobe. I'm one of those people who loves to feel warm and snuggly so for me, there's no better season than Autumn - I find something really comforting about it.

One of the most recent additions to my Autumn wardrobe is this burgundy oversized poncho jumper from Look Again's AJC range and I'm so in love with it. As you can see it has a lovely roll neck style which is another of my favourite autumn trends and is also fairly oversized which is right up my street as it's the kind of item that you can throw on with a pair of jeans for a simple yet chic look. I think another thing I love about Autumn fashion is that it's so much more comfortable - you can get away with wearing oversized comfy pieces whilst still looking stylish at the same time and let me tell you, this one is so soft and comfortable.

To finish the look I paired it with a simple pair of black skinny jeans and my new Miss Pap nude sock boots. I'm loving this style of boot at the moment - I think I've accumulated four pairs of them in the past 4 weeks, oops. They look so lovely with jeans and are really comfy too. I love the wooden heel on these ones. Don't forget you can use code KAYLEIGHJ10 for a discount at Miss Pap too!!

Finally, I wore a pair of classic black sunnies (they're old so can't remember where they're from) and this super cute black shoulder bag which is also from Look Again and is a total Chloe Faye dupe?! You've got to love items that resemble designer for a fraction of the price.

I hope you like this look - I know it's one I'm going to be wearing a lot over the next couple of months. I just need to find a nice new coat to go with it now. I always think a coat is the hardest item to buy and I usually end up trying on what feels like hundreds before I find one I like - anyone else?!

Hey guys! I want to start this post with a big apology for my lack of posts recently. I've had a serious case of writer's block (it happens to us all) and have been SO busy getting organised to move into my very first house next week which I'm sure you'll know if you follow my snapchat (@kayljcouture). My days have consisted of boxing up my whole life, having major clear outs and looking at homeware online. I can't wait to get in there now - keep your eyes peeled for some homeware hauls and interior posts coming very soon!

Anyway, back to the point of this post. I recently met up with my lovely friend and fellow blogger Lucy (@lradwell) in London to shoot some outfits and also head to the Lipsy X Michelle Keegan launch party which was AMAZING by the way. Anyway, I wanted to share one of the outfits we shot on the day as I'm really happy with how these images turned out. I've finally cracked shooting on manual with my Canon 600D and it's crazy the difference it actually makes. I love that I can now adjust the lighting etc to get the style of photo I want, rather that hoping for the best.

I recently featured this suede lace up skirt from Miss Pap in a blog post (see post here) and since then I've gone on to get it in another two colours, the latest being this lovely pale grey one! Yep, the obsession is real. I just love how easy it is to wear and that it can be dressed up or down, not to mention it is ridiculously comfortable thanks to the soft faux suede fabric. Style and comfort in one? Yes please!

As the skirt has the lovely lace up detailing down the front, I decided to keep the rest of the outfit fairly simple with an old high neck black cropped top (similar online here) and some black ankle boots which are also from Miss Pap. I love the style of these boots as they look great with skirts or skinny jeans (I believe they're 'sock' boots - correct me if I'm wrong) and I know I'll get loads of wear out of them.

To finish the look, I wore my new favourite shades (get them here) and a cute little Missguided bag with chain detail that reminds me of the Stella McCartney design. Who doesn't love a cheap designer alternative?!

I hope you like this look and I promise I'll be back with more posts as soon as I'm all settled in my new house and everything has calmed down a little.

Hi guys! Just a quick post from me today showing you an outfit I wore recently. I've been so busy working away on content behind the scenes that I haven't actually had much chance to update my blog as regularly as I'd like to. Last week was one of the busy weeks in a long time and I just didm't have a minute to sit down and write. However, it was busy for good reasons - I did a shoot with Quiz clothing which was super fun and have been working away on various campaigns that I'll be sharing with you all very soon!

Anyway, back to this outfit. I'm obsessed with all things suede at the moment so when I spotted this suede skirt with lace up detailing on the Miss Pap website, it had to be mine. It comes in a few different colours so it was a struggle deciding which one to get but I figured black would go with everything and also see me through the A/W season paired with tights and boots. However, I have since got the nude version (follow my Instagram @kayleighjcouture to see that one) and may even have to get the Khaki one too. It's seriously one of the comfiest pieces of clothing I own and also one of those that can be dressed up or down so I just know I'll get so much wear out of it. The only thing I will say is that I found I did find it slightly too big on my waist despite it being my usual size small so I'd definitely advise going a size down if you buy it - I got the extra small in the nude version and it fits perfectly. Don't forget you can get 10% off Miss Pap when you use my code KAYLEIGHJ10 at the checkout which makes this skirt only £18.00, such a bargain.

I paired the skirt with my new Missguided tie back crop top and again, I'm obsessed with this piece. I actually bought this to go with a pair of trousers I'm planning to wear on my holiday to Mallorca next month but it also goes perfectly with this skirt - I love pairing black and white items together. I think this will be so perfect on holiday as it's really lightweight and will amazing with a tan. I also love the tie back detailing - it almost feels like I'm wearing a bikini, it's so comfortable!!

To finish the look, I wore my fave Missguided strappy sandals, my new rose gold 'Vivienne' Quay sunglasses from White Fox Boutique and of course, my beloved Chloe Faye bag. I love that this bag goes with so many of my outfits - it's such a perfect neutral colour!

Are you a fan of this look?! I promise I'll be back with lots of posts soon - bare with me!!
